- 1 cup pumpkin puree (100% pure)
- 1 cup carrots (fresh, diced)
- 1 cup peas (frozen)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh rosemary or parsley (for seasoning)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Gather all your ingredients and chop the carrots finely for easy cooking.
- Sauté the turkey: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the vegetables: Once the turkey is cooked through, stir in the chopped carrots and peas. Allow them to sauté with the turkey for about 3-4 minutes, softening them a bit.
- Incorporate the pumpkin: Stir in the pumpkin puree and combine well. Let it cook for another 2 minutes, ensuring everything is heated through.
- Season to taste: If desired, sprinkle in some herbs or a pinch of salt (though keep in mind that salt should be minimized in your dog’s diet). Remove the skillet from heat.
- Cool and serve: Allow the food to cool completely before serving it to your pup.
Notes
Store any leftover food in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also freeze individual portions for later use.
