Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked sweet potatoes
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Optional: pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the sweet potatoes by baking them for 45 minutes until fork-tender, then mash until smooth.
- Mix the mashed sweet potatoes, rolled oats, applesauce, eggs, and baking powder in a large bowl. Add cinnamon if desired.
- Blend the mixture until well combined; the batter should be thick but spreadable.
- Prepare an 8-inch round cake pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter into the pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Decorate with a thin layer of peanut butter or dog treats if desired.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
