Wholesome homemade dog treats made with sweet potatoes, oats, and peanut butter, perfect for your furry friend.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour or oat flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/2 cup oats or chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Cook the sweet potatoes by boiling or baking until tender.
  3. Once cooled, peel and mash the sweet potatoes in a bowl.
  4. Add in the peanut butter, egg, and cinnamon; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the flour until a dough forms.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface.
  7. Use cookie cutters to shape the treats.
  8. Place them on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow them to cool before serving to your pup!

Notes

Ensure that peanut butter is xylitol-free and store treats in an airtight container. They can be frozen for up to six months.
