Ingredients
- 1 cup sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
- 1 cup whole wheat flour or oat flour
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: 1/2 cup oats or chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Cook the sweet potatoes by boiling or baking until tender.
- Once cooled, peel and mash the sweet potatoes in a bowl.
- Add in the peanut butter, egg, and cinnamon; mix until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the flour until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Use cookie cutters to shape the treats.
- Place them on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow them to cool before serving to your pup!
Notes
Ensure that peanut butter is xylitol-free and store treats in an airtight container. They can be frozen for up to six months.
