Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened peanut butter
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken or beef broth
- 1 large egg (or flax egg for egg-free)
- 1 cup grated carrots or sweet potatoes (or zucchini/pumpkin puree)
- Fresh parsley or basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the peanut butter, egg, and broth in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add in the whole wheat flour and grated vegetables, stirring until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness and cut into shapes.
- Place the cutouts on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the treats on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
Avoid using xylitol or other harmful ingredients. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer shelf life.
