A wholesome and nutritious salmon quinoa dog bowl that both dogs and their owners will love.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon (fresh or frozen, skinless fillets)
  • 1 cup quinoa (white or red)
  • 2 cups water or low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup peas
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or basil)

Instructions

  1. Cook the quinoa: Rinse quinoa under cold water. Combine it with water or broth in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then lower heat, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes until fluffy.
  2. Prepare the salmon: Heat a skillet over medium heat, lightly oil it. Place salmon skin-side down, season, and cook for 5-6 minutes. Gently flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until flaky.
  3. Sauté the veggies: In the same skillet, add chopped carrots and peas. Sauté for 3–5 minutes until tender but still vibrant.
  4. Combine everything: In a large bowl, mix the quinoa, sautéed veggies, and flaked salmon. Toss lightly.
  5. Serve up: Allow to cool slightly before serving to your dog.
