- 1 lb Salmon (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup Brown rice
- 1 cup Carrots (grated or diced)
- 1 cup Peas (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions
- Cook the Salmon: If using fresh salmon, sauté the fillet in a skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil until fully cooked—about 5 minutes per side. If you opt for canned, simply drain it and set it aside.
- Prepare the Rice: Cook the brown rice according to the package instructions. This will usually take about 30-40 minutes.
- Chop the Veggies: While the salmon and rice are cooking, finely chop the carrots and peas. If using frozen peas, there’s no need to thaw—they can cook right along with the other ingredients.
- Mix It All Together: Once the salmon is cooked, flake it into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, cooked rice, and veggies along with a drizzle of olive oil to create a luscious texture.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the mixture to cool before serving it to your dog. Scoop portions into her bowl, and watch that tail go wild!
