Ingredients
- 1 lb Salmon (fresh or frozen, wild-caught preferred)
- 1 cup Brown Rice (or white rice)
- 1 cup Carrots (chopped)
- 1 cup Green Beans (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Parsley (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Prepare the rice according to package instructions, usually about 40-45 minutes for brown rice.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and season the salmon with a pinch of turmeric for color and health benefits. Place it in the hot pan, skin-side down.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add the chopped carrots and green beans to the remaining oil in the skillet, sautéing until tender (about 3-5 minutes).
- Combine the cooked rice with the salmon in the skillet, breaking it into bite-sized pieces and mixing everything together.
- Finish by sprinkling chopped parsley over the mixture and toss gently. Let cool before serving in your pup’s bowl.
Notes
Always ensure salmon is fresh and boneless. Avoid using salt, garlic, or onions as they can be harmful to dogs.
