A wholesome and nutritious meal for your furry friend, combining rich salmon with hearty oatmeal and vegetables.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or canned salmon, packed in water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup spinach (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or dill (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: If using fresh salmon, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake salmon for 15-20 minutes. If using canned salmon, drain it.
  2. Cook the oats: In a saucepan, combine oats and water. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Sauté the vegetables: In a skillet, sauté the diced carrots, peas, and any additional veggies for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Combine ingredients: Flake the cooked salmon and mix it with the cooked oats and vegetables in a large bowl.
  5. Cool and serve: Allow the mixture to cool before serving it to your dog.

Notes

Ensure salmon is fully cooked to eliminate any harmful bacteria. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about three days.
