Ingredients
- 2 cups brown rice
- 1 lb salmon (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup carrots (chopped)
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup spinach (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fish oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Start by cooking the brown rice. Use a 2:1 ratio of water to rice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 40-50 minutes until it’s tender.
- While the rice is cooking, prepare the salmon. If you have fresh fillets, you can either bake them in the oven or pan-sear them on the stove, seasoning lightly with olive oil.
- When the salmon is nearly done, add in your selected vegetables and cook them until just tender.
- Mix the cooked salmon, brown rice, and vegetables together in a large bowl. If using, drizzle in fish oil and mix well.
- Finally, let everything cool before serving it to your pup.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator or freeze portions for later.
