Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter (no added sugars or xylitol)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Optional add-ins: shredded carrots or ripe bananas

Instructions

  1. Prepare your baking dish: Take an 8×8-inch dish and lightly grease it with coconut oil.
  2. Melt the peanut butter and coconut oil: In a saucepan over low heat, melt until smooth.
  3. Incorporate the sweetener: Stir in honey or maple syrup until well blended.
  4. Add the Rice Krispies: Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies until coated.
  5. Add any optional ingredients: Fold in shredded carrots or mashed banana if using.
  6. Transfer to the dish: Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and press down firmly.
  7. Cool and cut: Allow to cool for about 30 minutes, then cut into squares.

Notes

Ensure peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs. Wrap treats individually for storage.
