Ingredients
- 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- ½ cup Butter (1 stick)
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- Optional Add-ins: ½ cup chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan by greasing or lining with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and pumpkin puree. Stir in the eggs until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined, but don’t overmix. If adding chocolate chips or nuts, fold them in now.
- Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan, smoothing it out to ensure even baking.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Letting your blondies cool completely will enhance their texture and flavor. Be patient when cutting them to avoid crumbling.
