- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
- 1 egg
- 2.5 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten sensitivity)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: chicken or vegetable broth for moisture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together the peanut butter and pumpkin puree in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
- Combine the whole wheat flour and cinnamon in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Roll the dough to about ¼ inch thick.
- Cut into fun shapes and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Use natural peanut butter free of xylitol and avoid common allergens. Let the treats cool completely before giving them to your dog.
