Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey, pork, or chicken)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 1 large egg (or flax egg for vegan option)
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped (or shallots or leeks)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)
  • ¼ cup ketchup (or BBQ sauce)
  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, herbs) to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or use muffin liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, and the egg. Mix gently but do not overwork the meat.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Mix in any optional ingredients.
