Delicious dog treats made with wholesome ingredients for a festive celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 beaten egg
  • ½ cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • ½ cup low-sodium beef or chicken broth (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for flavor and digestion)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour and oats.
  3. Add the wet ingredients in another bowl: pumpkin puree, beaten egg, and peanut butter.
  4. Combine the dry mixture with the wet, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough to about ½ inch thickness and cut out festive shapes.
  6. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store treats in an airtight container for up to two weeks or refrigerate for longer shelf life. These treats can also be frozen for up to three months.
