A refreshing and nutritious snack for your dog made with fresh carrots and peanut butter, perfect for hot summer days.

  • Total Time: 255 minutes
  • Yield: 20 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Carrots, fresh
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter, xylitol-free
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Optional: Apple slices or pumpkin puree for variety

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Begin by gathering all your ingredients. Wash and peel the carrots for a clean taste.
  2. Blend: Cut the carrots into smaller pieces for fast blending. Place the carrots in a blender or food processor with water and blend until smooth, adding more water as necessary to achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Mix in the peanut butter: Once your carrots are pureed, add in your peanut butter and give it another quick blend until well integrated.
  4. Pour and freeze: Carefully pour the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds. Freeze for at least 180 minutes or until solid.
  5. Pop them out: Once frozen, gently twist the trays to release your dog treats. Store them in an airtight container.
  6. Serve chilled: These treats are great on their own or can be served as a refreshing topping on kibble during hot days.

Notes

Ensure to avoid any harmful ingredients such as xylitol and check for dog allergies before serving.
