Wholesome homemade dog food featuring quinoa, proteins, and vibrant vegetables that your furry friend will love.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 pound lean protein (chicken, turkey, or beef)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, peas, spinach)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or basil)
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the quinoa: Rinse quinoa under cold water. In a pot, combine with broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the protein: In a skillet, cook the protein over medium heat until browned—break into small bits for your pup.
  3. Sauté the veggies: Add olive oil to the skillet, and sauté chopped veggies for about 5 minutes until tender.
  4. Combine the ingredients: Fluff the quinoa and mix with meat and vegetables in a bowl, adding chopped herbs.
  5. Cool and serve: Allow to cool before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for future meals.

Notes

Ensure all vegetables are safe for dogs and avoid adding salt or heavy spices.
