Wholesome homemade dog food featuring turkey and spinach, packed with nutrients for your furry friend.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup pumpkin (not spiced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup low sodium broth
  • Herbs (optional: parsley)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the turkey and sauté until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Stir in chopped carrots and cook for another 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the spinach, letting it wilt down, which should take 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the pumpkin and a splash of broth, mixing thoroughly and letting it simmer for an additional minute.
  6. Remove from heat, allow to cool, and serve at your dog’s preferred temperature.

Notes

Avoid using too much salt; dogs are sensitive to sodium. Do not add onions or garlic as they can be toxic to dogs.
