Ingredients
- Large flour tortillas
- Melting cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or American)
- Cooked vegetables (mushrooms, spinach, onions)
- Assorted meats (grilled chicken or bacon) or beans
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and prep cheese and fillings.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter or oil.
- Place a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Layer cheese, fillings, and sprinkle herbs if using.
- Roll up the tortilla tightly, tucking in the ends to close it.
- Place the burrito seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the burrito, adding more butter if necessary, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cheese melts.
- Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, slice in half, and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra-crispy finish, press the burrito with a spatula while cooking. Let fillings cool slightly before assembling to prevent sogginess.
