Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, ginger, and cinnamon.
  3. Incorporate the wet ingredients: Add molasses, peanut butter, and the egg to the dry mix and stir until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough: Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut into shapes using cookie cutters or cut into squares.
  6. Bake the treats: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Store your treats: Allow to cool completely, then store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

These treats can also be frozen for up to three months. Simply cool completely and store in a freezer-safe bag.
