A nutritious and delicious homemade dog food recipe for your furry friend.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean Ground Meat (Beef, Chicken, or Turkey)
  • 2 cups Mixed Vegetables (Carrots, Sweet Peas, Zucchini)
  • 1 cup Sweet Potatoes or Brown Rice
  • 1 cup Low-Sodium Broth
  • Fresh Herbs (Parsley or Basil)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the lean ground meat over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add in your vegetables of choice. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they soften, stirring regularly to combine them with the meat.
  3. Pour in about 1 cup of low-sodium broth, stirring well to incorporate.
  4. If you’re using rice or sweet potatoes, fold them in at this stage. Let everything simmer on low for another 10-15 minutes.
  5. Once cooked through, allow this delightful mixture to cool completely. Portion it into meal-sized servings and store in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

Optional: Serve with a small dollop of plain yogurt or sprinkle of cheese on top.
