Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2¼ teaspoons) instant or active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup softened butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups warm milk (around 110°F)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and create a workspace. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy for about 5-10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and butter. Add the foamy yeast mixture and eggs. Stir until you achieve a sticky dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt for the filling.
- Punch down the risen dough, roll into a 12×18-inch rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Roll the dough into a log.
- Place the rolled dough in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 30-60 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
- Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
