Ingredients
- 1 cup boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Herbs (fresh parsley or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare your chicken. If using raw chicken, cook it thoroughly—boiling is a quick method, just cool it before chopping.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine your chicken, minced garlic, oats, beaten egg, and herbs.
- Mix well until the ingredients form a dough-like consistency.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface or use your hands to form small bite-sized pieces.
- Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the treats to cool completely before sharing them with your dogs.
Notes
Customize the treats with pureed pumpkin or a splash of peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free) for special occasions. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or refrigerate for longer freshness.
