Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken (breast or thighs), chopped
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup green beans (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth
- Optional: dried herbs (e.g., basil or thyme)
Instructions
- Start by chopping your chicken into bite-sized pieces. If using fresh pumpkin, peel and cube it; if using canned, measure out 1/2 cup.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes.
- Toss in the chopped carrots and green beans. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender.
- Stir in the pumpkin puree and broth, mixing well. It should have a saucy consistency.
- Let everything simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Cool before serving it to your dog, ensuring it’s not too hot.
Notes
Monitor your dog’s reaction to new foods; always start small to avoid tummy troubles. Adjust broth quantity for desired consistency.
