Homemade dog treats made with chicken and broccoli that are healthy and delicious for your furry friend.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 15-20 treats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded boneless chicken
  • 1 cup fresh broccoli, chopped
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat/almond flour as substitute)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the chicken until fully cooked, about 15-20 minutes. Allow it to cool, then shred it into small pieces.
  3. Steam the broccoli until tender, then chop it finely.
  4. Combine the shredded chicken, chopped broccoli, and peanut butter in a large bowl, mixing until well blended.
  5. Gradually add the flour and beaten egg. Mix until you get a dough-like consistency.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut shapes using cookie cutters or a knife.
  7. Place the treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and firm.
  8. Allow them to cool completely before serving to your furry friend.

Notes

Monitor baking time; ovens vary. Ensure peanut butter is xylitol-free, and avoid harmful ingredients.
