Homemade Blueberry Pumpkin Dog Donuts perfect for treating your furry friends with love and wholesome ingredients.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (can substitute with frozen)
  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten sensitivity)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: mix pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs until smooth, then gently fold in the blueberries.
  4. Incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve the donuts to your pup and store any leftovers in the fridge.

Notes

Avoid overmixing for fluffy donuts. Use ingredients at room temperature for better mixing.
