- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup fresh blueberries (can substitute with frozen)
- 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten sensitivity)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup peanut butter (ensure it’s xylitol-free)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Combine the wet ingredients: mix pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs until smooth, then gently fold in the blueberries.
- Incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fill the donut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve the donuts to your pup and store any leftovers in the fridge.
Notes
Avoid overmixing for fluffy donuts. Use ingredients at room temperature for better mixing.
