Delight your furry friends with these homemade Apple and Blueberry Dog Treats that are both nutritious and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 Apples (peeled and diced)
  • 1 cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups Whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Oats
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced apples, blueberries, and peanut butter until well coated.
  3. In another bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, oats, and cinnamon until there are no lumps.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and knead until a dough forms. If too sticky, add more flour.
  5. Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thick and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  6. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool completely before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

These treats can be frozen for up to three months. Use organic ingredients when possible for healthier treats.
