Homemade dog treats made with fresh apples and ripe bananas that your furry friends will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 apple (finely chopped, peel on)
  • 1/2 cup dog-safe peanut butter
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of rolled oats in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mash the 2 ripe bananas until smooth and finely chop the apple.
  4. Add the mashed bananas, chopped apple, and 1/2 cup of peanut butter into the flour-oat mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Dust some flour onto a clean countertop and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
  6. Place the cutouts onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until light golden brown.
  7. Cool the treats completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Notes

Tomake these treats gluten-free, substitute whole wheat flour with oat flour. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
