No reviews

A refreshing and nutritious treat for dogs made with juicy watermelon and sweet blueberries, perfect for hot summer days.

  • Total Time: 255 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, chopped
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • Optional: splash of coconut water
  • Optional: smidgen of honey (for dogs that enjoy sweeter treats)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Start by cutting the watermelon into chunks and removing any seeds. Toss those in the blender! For the blueberries, rinse them thoroughly.
  2. Blend watermelon: In a blender, puree the watermelon until smooth. You can add a little water if you desire a thinner consistency.
  3. Create the blueberry mixture: Next, blend the blueberries separately until smooth to create that beautiful swirl effect!
  4. Mix together: In a large bowl or two separate measuring cups, you can layer or mix the watermelon and blueberry purees. For a beautiful swirl effect, pour both mixtures together into ice cube trays and gently stir to combine without fully mixing.
  5. Freeze: Pop the trays into the freezer and allow them to chill for 180-240 minutes or until fully frozen.
  6. Serve: Once frozen, pop out the bites and serve them to your excited pups! Store any leftovers in a zip-top bag or airtight container in the freezer to ensure they remain fresh.

Notes

Ensure fruits are ripe and avoid using overly ripe fruits. Can add mint for a refreshing twist.
