Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup peas or green beans
  • 1 cup whole grain oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink.
  3. Prepare the sweet potatoes by boiling or steaming until tender, then mash.
  4. Combine the cooked turkey, mashed sweet potatoes, vegetables, oats, eggs, and seasonings in a large bowl.
  5. Shape the mixture into kibble-like bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until firm and slightly golden.
  7. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Avoid using onion or garlic as they are toxic to dogs. You can substitute vegetables based on availability.
