Delicious and nutritious homemade tuna dog treats that your furry friend will love.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 can high-quality tuna in water, drained
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the canned tuna (drained), egg, and garlic (if using) in a bowl until well mixed.
  3. Incorporate the whole wheat flour gradually and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut into shapes using cookie cutters or into squares.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and hard.
  7. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Be careful not to overbake the treats; check for that golden brown hue.
