- 2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat/almond flour as a substitute)
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (unsweetened and unsalted)
- 1 large egg (or flaxseed egg/banana for vegan option)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Bone-shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the whole wheat flour and cinnamon in one mixing bowl.
- Mix the canned pumpkin, peanut butter, and egg in another bowl.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mix into the wet mix until it forms a dough.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of about ¼ inch.
- Cut out shapes using your bone-shaped cookie cutter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the treats completely and decorate with dog-safe icing.
