- 2 skinless salmon fillets
- 1 cup mashed sweet potato
- 1/2 cup almond flour (or coconut flour)
- 1 egg
- Fresh herbs (parsley or dill, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the salmon in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, then flake it after cooling.
- Combine the flaked salmon, mashed sweet potato, and egg in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the chosen flour gradually to form a workable dough.
- Fold in herbs if desired.
- Roll out the dough to ½ inch thick and cut into preferred shapes.
- Bake the treats on a parchment-lined sheet for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before storing or serving.
Notes
For variations, use canned salmon or substitute sweet potatoes with pumpkin puree or finely grated carrots. Store in an airtight container for about a week or freeze for longer shelf life.
