Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (unsweetened)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat/almond flour for allergies)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Combine the pumpkin puree and peanut butter in a mixing bowl, stirring until well-blended.
- Add the eggs, whisking them in one at a time.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost with plain yogurt or peanut butter once cooled, if desired.
- Serve with love on special occasions or as a surprise treat!
Notes
Make sure the peanut butter used is free from xylitol or added sugars, which are harmful to dogs.
