Ingredients
- 4 cups bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (around 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar; allow it to sit until frothy.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour.
- Shape the bagels and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Boil the bagels in water for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Bake the bagels at 425°F (220°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
