Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats that are healthy and easy to make for your furry friend.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 treats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup honey or pumpkin puree
  • Water (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine one cup of creamy peanut butter, one cup of whole wheat flour, and one egg in a large bowl. If the mixture feels too dry, slowly add water or pumpkin puree until you reach the desired consistency.
  3. Mix until it forms a dough; it should be moist but not sticky. If you’re adding honey, blend it in here to incorporate the sweetness.
  4. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use your favorite cookie cutters to create fun shapes—think bones, paws, or even hearts!
  5. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Allow to cool completely before serving to your dog. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two weeks—or freeze them for longer storage!

Notes

Ensure the peanut butter is free from added sugars or xylitol, which are harmful to dogs. Substitute ingredients as needed for dietary restrictions.
