Homemade peanut butter cookies for dogs that are healthy, delicious, and perfect for a tail-wagging treat.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 20 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (or coconut/almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon honey or molasses (optional)
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine peanut butter, oats, flour, egg, and honey or molasses. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. If the dough feels too dry, add water gradually until it reaches a workable consistency.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters or squares.
  5. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Customize these cookies with different nut butters or flavors. Always ensure peanut butter is xylitol-free as it’s toxic to dogs.
