Ingredients
- 1 cup lean protein (chicken, turkey, or beef)
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup sweet potatoes (optional)
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken or beef broth
- 1 cup cooked rice or oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or fish oil
Instructions
- Chop the protein into small pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink.
- Add the vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.) and sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Stir in the broth and bring to a simmer, cooking for 15-20 minutes.
- Add the cooked grains and stir until combined.
- Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Make sure all ingredients are dog-safe. Avoid any harmful seasonings like onions or garlic. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
