Ingredients
- 1 pound tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked, draining excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes to combine flavors.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Layer half of the cooked tortellini in the greased baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce and dollops of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread!
