Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs), sliced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- Vegetables (optional, e.g., bell peppers, broccoli)
- 1 tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and set your workspace.
- Slice chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove chicken and set aside. Reduce the heat to medium, add garlic and ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring well; let bubble for a minute.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring each piece is well-coated in sauce.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and sauté for another minute, adding vegetables if desired.
- Serve over rice or noodles, topping with additional sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup. Marinating the chicken for 30 minutes can enhance flavor.
