A soothing balm to care for your dog’s sensitive paw pads, made with natural ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup beeswax
  • 1/4 cup shea butter
  • 10 drops of dog-safe essential oils (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons almond oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace. Lay down some parchment paper or clean up a nice area on your countertop.
  2. Combine 1/2 cup of coconut oil and 1/4 cup of beeswax in a double boiler. Allow them to melt together slowly, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add in 1/4 cup of shea butter, continuing to stir until everything melts down into a silky mixture.
  4. Incorporate essential oils if using, adding about 10 drops for a pleasant scent.
  5. Pour the warm balm into small tins or jars, letting it cool completely before sealing.
  6. Store in a cool, dry place.
