- 2 lbs boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by trimming excess fat and slicing it into thin strips about 1/4 inch thick.
- Marinate the chicken in a mixing bowl, combining soy sauce, garlic powder, and parsley.
- Preheat the dehydrator to 160°F or the oven to its lowest setting (around 170°F).
- Arrange the marinated strips in a single layer on dehydrator trays or a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Dehydrate for 4-6 hours in the dehydrator or bake for about 3-4 hours in the oven until firm and jerky-like.
- Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
Always check for dryness before removing; the treats should be crunchy, not brittle.
