Ingredients
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup finely grated carrots
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 clove garlic (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the chicken broth, egg, and grated carrots until well combined.
- Gradually stir in the whole wheat flour and oats, mixing gently until a soft dough forms.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow them to cool completely before serving.
Notes
These biscuits can be stored in an airtight container for about a week or refrigerated for up to two weeks. They also freeze well.
