Whip up a batch of these delicious dog biscuits using homemade chicken broth for a healthy and tasty treat that your furry friend will love.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 24 biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken broth (preferably homemade)
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or other herbs
  • Optional mix-ins: grated carrots or pumpkin

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and oats. Stir to ensure even distribution.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth and egg. Add finely chopped parsley or other herbs.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough begins to form. If the mixture feels dry, add a bit more chicken broth.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for a minute until smooth. Roll it out to about a quarter-inch thickness.
  6. Cut out your biscuits using cookie cutters and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool completely before serving and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Feel free to substitute chicken broth with beef broth or use almond flour for a grain-free option.
