Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (or herbs of choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped vegetables, and minced garlic. Mix until well incorporated.
- Add the flour, egg, and herbs to the mixture. Stir until it forms a dough-like consistency.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to about ½-inch thick. Cut out stick shapes with a knife or cookie cutter.
- Place the sticks onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let them cool completely before serving.
Notes
These chew sticks can be customized with different vegetables and herbs. Freeze leftovers in an airtight container for up to three months.
