Delicious and nutritious chew sticks made with lean ground beef and colorful vegetables, perfect for family snacks or pet treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup green beans, chopped
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (or herbs of choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped vegetables, and minced garlic. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Add the flour, egg, and herbs to the mixture. Stir until it forms a dough-like consistency.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to about ½-inch thick. Cut out stick shapes with a knife or cookie cutter.
  5. Place the sticks onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Let them cool completely before serving.

Notes
