Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, chicken, or turkey liver
- 1 cup fresh spinach or parsley
- 2 cloves fresh garlic (or dried garlic, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Prep the liver by rinsing it under cold water, removing any sinew or connective tissue. Pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Chop the liver into strips or small cubes for quicker drying.
- Add finely chopped spinach or parsley to the bowl with liver pieces.
- Mince garlic and mix it with olive oil, then toss with liver until well-coated.
- Dehydrate by preheating the oven to 150°F (65°C) and placing liver strips on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 2-3 hours, flipping halfway through.
- Cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freezing for several months.
Notes
Experiment with herbs for different flavors. Avoid over-seasoning and overcrowding the baking sheet during dehydration.
