Ingredients
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1/4 cup carrots, chopped
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter (unsweetened)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken or beef broth
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup shredded cooked chicken or turkey
Instructions
- Boil the cubed sweet potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes, or roast them for deeper flavor.
- While sweet potatoes cook, chop the veggies and protein, steaming the fresh vegetables lightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked sweet potatoes, vegetables, protein, peanut butter, and broth. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff the mixture tightly into Kongs, leaving a little space at the top.
- If you made a larger batch, consider freezing some for later use.
- For serving, drizzle more peanut butter on top or sprinkle herbs if desired.
Notes
Ensure peanut butter is free from xylitol, and opt for low-sodium broth. Substitute ingredients as necessary based on your dog’s preferences.
