Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (no xylitol)
  • 1 ripe banana (or 1/2 cup pumpkin puree)
  • 1 egg (or apple sauce/flaxseed meal as a substitute)
  • Optional: cinnamon, shredded carrots

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine whole wheat flour, oats, and peanut butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mash the banana or pumpkin puree in a separate bowl; add the egg and mix well.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a dough.
  5. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes.
  6. Place cutouts on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool completely on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
