Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Orange food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.
- Whisk in sugar and eggs until glossy, then fold in flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Prepare cream cheese mixture by beating softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and food coloring until smooth.
- Spread brownie batter into the pan, reserving ¼ cup for the top.
- Dollop cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
- Add remaining brownie batter in small spoonfuls. Swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until set but slightly gooey in the center. Cool completely before cutting.
Notes
