Delicious and nutritious dog biscuits made with zucchini and peanut butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium zucchini, grated
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 egg
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Optional: a sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the zucchini by squeezing out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Mix the grated zucchini, peanut butter, whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and egg in a large mixing bowl. Add optional honey and cinnamon if desired.
  4. Knead until a dough forms, adding water if too crumbly.
  5. Roll the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  7. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
