Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the baking soda and salt with flour (if adding). Gradually mix this dry mixture into the peanut butter mix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, setting aside some for decoration.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for expansion.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Immediately after removing, place a few reserved chocolate chips on each cookie for spider legs.
Notes
Chill the dough for 10-15 minutes in warm weather to prevent spreading. Rotate the baking sheet halfway through baking for even results.
